The Dark Star - 2003At an Asian food store in Lausanne I bought over a kilo of star anise to find the right one to make a mold of this exotic tasting and beautiful seedpod that is used in Thai and Indonesian cuisines. I used rose gold and at the center of the cross and double cross of the star, I had small alexandrites set on both sides. This bi-crystalline stone that is one color in sunlight and another color in electric light seems a perfect center for the double cross. This is the one piece of jewelry that I wear always. |
